Thousands of textiles move daily.
How many quietly disappear?

Leanwave shows where textiles, time and profit margins are lost – and helps you fix it.

The Problem

Transparency alone does not stop losses

Many systems show which tag was scanned and where. However, they do not explain where your process stalls, why textiles disappear, or which step is costing you money.

  • Stacks of folded navy workwear on a laundry trolley in front of industrial washers

    01

    Lost Textiles

Stocks disappear without a clear reason, location, or responsible process step.

  • A laundry worker writing on a clipboard beside a cage of folded textiles

    02

    Manual Tracking

Spreadsheets and scattered data slow down teams and provide unreliable information.

  • Two operators loading linen into a row of industrial washing machines

    03

    Long Lead Times

Delays and bottlenecks often only impact service and costs late in the process.

  • A worker inspecting a work jacket on a rail of hanging garments

    04

    Unnoticed Wear-Out

Washing cycles and textile lifecycles are not consistently monitored.

FAQ’s

Frequently
asked questions

Have questions? Here you will find answers about our solutions, the implementation process, and how we support companies in digitising their textile and laundry processes.

What technologies does Leanwave work with?

RFID is one of our core areas of expertise, but it is not the only technology we work with. Depending on the process, we can combine RFID, identification hardware, software, camera technology, AI and other automation tools. The technology follows the operational requirement, not the other way around.

Can Leanwave integrate with our existing systems?

Yes. We first assess your existing systems and infrastructure before designing the solution. Wherever practical, we integrate with what is already working rather than replacing technology unnecessarily.

Yes. We provide and integrate RFID hardware, identification technology and software solutions, including our own operational dashboards. We can also work with third-party systems where appropriate.

Absolutely. Alongside our RFID expertise, Leanwave specializes in hardware and software solutions tailored for product identification. We’ll analyse your current setup and provide the compatible tech stack you need to keep your operations running smoothly.

Can RFID work without line of sight?

Yes. RFID does not generally require direct line of sight between the reader and tag. Depending on the application and environment, multiple tagged items can also be identified simultaneously.

Can RFID tags withstand industrial washing, heat or harsh environments?

Yes, provided the correct RFID tag is selected.

Textile-service environments expose tags to heat, chemicals, mechanical pressure and repeated washing. Leanwave supplies RFID tags specifically designed for industrial laundry applications and helps determine the appropriate tag and attachment method for each textile and process.

Do you offer pilot projects or proof-of-concept testing?

Yes. For applications where performance should be validated before a wider rollout, we can conduct pilot projects or proof-of-concept testing under realistic operating conditions.

Can you test the solution in our actual operating environment?

Yes. For many projects, we recommend an on-site assessment followed by testing in the real operating environment. This allows us to validate system performance and identify potential challenges before a wider implementation.

What information do you need from us to get started?

Initially, we need to understand your operation, the problem you want to solve, your existing systems and the outcome you want to achieve.

You do not need to know which technology you require. Determining that is part of our job.

Can Leanwave support international rollouts?

Yes. Leanwave already supports solutions across more than 200 locations in over 22 countries, including multi-site and international projects.

Our support can cover implementation, system integration, training and ongoing operational support across different locations and markets.

Do you provide ongoing support and optimization?

We can then provide ongoing technical and operational support as the solution becomes part of your day-to-day operation.

What if RFID isn't the right solution for our use case?

Then we will not recommend RFID.

RFID is one of our core areas of expertise, but our approach starts with the process rather than the technology. Depending on the requirement, a better solution may involve camera technology, AI, software, another identification method, process redesign or a combination of technologies.
